Fracturing pumps work by transferring liquid pressure to pipelines and wellheads to provide high pressure water for drilling and oil and gas production, maintaining wellhead pressure and thus accelerating oil and gas production. Fracturing pumps use compressed air, gas, or electricity to raise water pressure to thousands to tens of thousands of pounds. High-pressure hoses inject water into the wellhead and into the rock cracks at the bottom, widening the cracks and increasing oil and gas production.
Fracturing pump is composed of hydraulic booster system, pump body, water inlet, water outlet, control system and other components. The low-pressure water is sucked into the pump body, which is turned into high-pressure water by high-speed rotation of the pump body, and transported to the oil well through the pipeline to achieve oil and gas fracturing.
In actual work, the work flow of fracturing pump is divided into pressure stage, pressure holding stage and recovery stage. In the pressurization stage, the fluid enters the pump body, begins to pressurize, the pressure gradually rises, and the liquid water enters the rock cracks. In the pressure holding stage, the fluid maintains a high pressure state, which makes the fracture expand rapidly and promotes the oil and gas outflow. During the recovery phase, the pressure is gradually reduced and the fluid gradually flows back into the pump body, ready to enter the next pressurized cycle.
In short, fracturing pumps play a key role in oil exploration, development and production. Its main function is to pump high pressure water into the fracture at the bottom of the well to increase oil and gas production and improve exploration and development efficiency.
